Discrimination & Harassment

We are committed to keeping this community safe and inclusive for all members. Harassment can take many forms, including but not limited to: name-calling, targeted exclusion, spreading rumors, intimidation, passive-aggressive comments, sending unwanted messages, or doxxing (sharing someone’s private information without consent). This also applies to behavior that occurs outside of Amino but carries over into the community.Threats, violent, or dangerous behavior, as well as discrimination, are strictly prohibited on KPDHA. This includes threats of physical harm, as well as any behavior or language that promotes violence or dangerous activities. Discrimination is the unjust or prejudicial treatment of individuals based on their race, ethnicity, religion, gender, sexual orientation, age, disability, or other personal characteristics. This includes any behavior, comments, or content that belittles or marginalizes someone based on these characteristics. Discrimination is not tolerated and any members found engaging in discriminatory behavior will face consequences. If you are being harassed, the safest approach is to avoid responding to the person. Instead, document the behavior with screenshots and contact a staff member so it can be addressed. All action is taken based on proof, and false accusations will also be treated as a violation. Misusing harassment claims to target someone can cause just as much harm and will not be tolerated.

Reporting

When reporting an issue to a staff member, please provide an uncropped screenshot, a brief description of the problem, and the profile link(s) of the reported individual(s). This will help us better understand the issue and take appropriate action. Please note that false reports or malicious reports will not be tolerated. When flagging, please don’t flag members for things such as them blocking you, because you don’t like them, etc. Intentional false reports will result in three warnings, and if the behavior continues, it will lead to a strike. This does not apply to unintentional mistakes as we recognize that not everyone knows the rules by heart, and we encourage you to do your best when reporting. If you’re unsure about whether a flag is valid, simply mention that in the description.Reporting staff members is ALWAYS okay. Contact the Agent or Co-Agent if you believe a staff member has broken the guidelines. Staff are held to the same standards as all members.

Contacting and Blocking Staff

Staff are here to keep the community safe and help with any concerns. You are welcome to reach out if you have questions about the rules, need assistance reporting an incident, or want to give feedback. Please be respectful in your approach and avoid messaging multiple staff members at the same time with the same issue. We do our best to respond quickly, but please allow up to 24 hours for a reply. If you haven’t heard back in that time, you may follow up or contact a different staff member.Members are not permitted to block staff. This is both a guideline violation and a safety concern, as blocking prevents staff from being able to contact you if an issue arises. Blocking staff will not prevent consequences for rule-breaking, as matters will always reach the moderation team eventually. If you have blocked a staff member due to serious past behavior (such as bullying or a violation of guidelines), you should contact another Leader or Curator to explain the situation so it can be handled appropriately. Aside from situations of that nature, staff should never be blocked, as it interferes with community safety and moderation. It is important to understand the difference between justified moderation and abusive behavior. Standard actions such as disabling a post, hiding a profile, issuing a strike, or sending a warning are part of staff responsibilities and do not constitute abuse. In almost all cases, these actions are taken because a guideline has been broken, whether minor or serious. Blocking staff in response to normal moderation only interferes with communication and creates further issues.Abuse, on the other hand, includes actions such as unjustified disabling of content without a valid reason, issuing strikes without cause or without warning (except in severe cases), or using slurs, threats, or personal harassment. These behaviors are not tolerated, and if you ever experience them, we encourage you to report the situation immediately. When reporting staff misconduct, always provide complete and unedited evidence. Screenshots of messages or actions should be clear, accurate, and include the full context. You should also flag abusive messages directly so that leaders or Team Amino can review them. Without full and accurate evidence, no investigation can take place.Remember: justified moderation is not abuse, and blocking staff for doing their job is not acceptable. If you feel unsafe with a particular moderator, contact a Leader so the matter can be addressed appropriately. Leaders will determine whether an exception to the no-blocking rule is warranted. In severe cases, Team Amino may be contacted for further investigation and action.
